EduQuest is an interactive learning app designed for students and educators, providing a platform for personalized learning experiences through quizzes, lessons, and progress tracking. Developed for Bright Minds Academy, the app's goal was to create an engaging and adaptable learning environment that could cater to different learning styles and educational needs.
Concept & Strategy:
The vision for EduQuest was to transform traditional learning into an interactive digital experience that keeps students motivated and engaged. My strategy involved developing a flexible architecture that allows educators to customize content and track student performance in real-time. The app features a gamified learning system with rewards and badges to encourage consistent learning and improvement. I focused on building an intuitive UI using Swift and UIKit, making the app accessible to students of all ages.
Key Features & Development Focus:
EduQuest's standout features include customizable quizzes, interactive lessons, and detailed analytics for educators. To build these, I used Core Data for managing lesson content and tracking progress, ensuring the app could handle a wide variety of subjects and difficulty levels. The integration of ARKit allowed for augmented reality experiences in some lessons, adding an extra layer of engagement for students. The app was designed to work seamlessly on both iPads and iPhones, ensuring accessibility in various educational settings.
Challenges & Solutions:
One of the major challenges was designing the app to be adaptable for both students and educators without compromising usability for either group. I tackled this by creating dual interfaces: one tailored for students with a focus on ease of use and engagement, and another for educators that emphasized content management and analytics. Another challenge was ensuring data security and privacy, especially for young users. I implemented strict data encryption protocols and parental controls to address these concerns.
